Season’s greetings to my friends, I hope this blog entry finds you doing well!!!

In the spirit of doing something for others, I thought I would introduce a young lady to you. While her needs are not quite what you would expect with a request like this, your involvement could have a long-term impact in the lives of many through this. I have come to know Ms Jacquelyn Gross, who is a finalist in the Extreme Huntress contest. In this, these 10 contestants have their bio posted on the Extreme Huntress website (listed below), where folks can cast an on-line vote. Voting runs through January 1, 2012

I have chosen to support “Jackie” and her quest for one basic reason– she is the real deal!!! Jackie is an extreme hunter, yet, also, one of the most polite people you’d ever meet.

Jackie doesn’t boast of banner names or brands, only a true love of the outdoors. From fishing for marlin off the Gulf Coast to duck hunting the bayous of Louisiana, chasing tom cats in the Colorado Rockies to hunting antelope on the desert floors of Wyoming, Jackie’s passion for the sport continually drives her to seek out the next extreme adventure.

My involvement is this simple: I believe in this young lady and her quest to bring more attention to women in the outdoors. It is my humble opinion that should Ms Gross win this title, she would do far more to further the sport of humting & fishing than the sport could ever give to her.

By now you know that I don’t get involved unless I believe there is a real purpose. My friends and I believe we can make a difference by supporting Ms Gross. We ask you to join us.

Voting is a simple 1, 2, 3 and takes less than 30 seconds. It does ask for your email, to which you can opt out after voting, and you do not receive any emails afterwards–I have checked.

If, like me, you have a strong desire to promote the sport of hunting and the great outdoors, recognizing the importance of individual participation, be it youth, families, men and women in the outdoors, take a moment and review the cast of contestants in the Extreme Huntress Competition. I am sure you’ll come to realize that Jacquelyn Gross is truly a winner.
